AI natal chart readings: beyond your Sun sign

KnowMe editors · Published · Updated

A Western natal chart describes planetary positions, houses and aspects for a birth time and place. KnowMe uses Swiss Ephemeris for astronomical calculations, then AI for interpretation. Calculating astronomical positions does not validate the personality or life claims made by astrology.

Some prompts in the current birth-details form are in Chinese.

Why do birth time and city matter?

Prepare a Gregorian birth date, a specific time and a birth city, then complete the requested name and chart-calculation details. A Sun sign alone cannot determine a full natal chart.

The current version requires a complete birth time. Uncertainty can affect the Ascendant and houses. Check the details instead of treating a chart based on an assumed time as definitive. Some prompts in the current form are in Chinese.

How do the Sun, Moon, Ascendant and aspects differ?

Astrology uses these chart factors to discuss different themes. A natal-chart reading considers more than a single Sun sign, including other planets, houses and aspects.

Planetary positions are calculated data. The personality and relationship descriptions built around them are astrological interpretations. A position can be checked; a personality inference still needs comparison with real experience.

How does KnowMe produce its AI reading?

The system calculates chart data with Swiss Ephemeris before AI organizes the text around a chosen direction. A reading groups chart information into themes you can read, revisit and ask about.

AI can make mistakes, generalize too broadly or contradict itself. Specific-sounding text is not evidence that the system knows your personal history.

Is a natal chart the same as a solar return?

A natal chart corresponds to birth. A solar return is based on the yearly moment when the Sun returns to its natal position and discusses a birthday cycle. It is not simply a calendar-year horoscope for everyone sharing a sign.

Check the time period a reading discusses. Treat annual themes as cultural interpretation rather than predictions of events on a particular day, and use real-world information for planning.

Common questions

Is my Sun sign enough for a full natal chart?

No. KnowMe's current natal-chart form requires a birth date, a specific birth time and a birth city.

Does Swiss Ephemeris prove an astrology reading is accurate?

No. It calculates astronomical positions. Computing those positions and validating astrology's personality or life interpretations are separate questions.

Can BaZi and astrology validate each other?

They are different cultural interpretation frameworks. A description that feels familiar in one is not scientific evidence for the other.

Can I explore a particular question?

You can choose a reading direction in the existing flow and ask follow-up questions after generation. Describe a concrete situation and compare the answer with experience rather than expecting a certain prediction.
