AI BaZi readings: what birth details do you need?
KnowMe editors · Published · Updated
BaZi, or Four Pillars, converts a birth year, month, day and time into a traditional Chinese chart. KnowMe calculates chart data before AI organizes the interpretation. This is a cultural reflection tool, not a validated personality assessment or a prediction of life outcomes.
Some prompts in the current birth-details form are in Chinese.
Which birth details does KnowMe require?
Prepare your Gregorian birth date, a specific birth time and birth city, plus the sex used for chart calculation and a name or nickname. The city selection supplies location and time-zone data. A legal name is not required.
The current version requires a complete birth time and does not support unknown-time readings. Check uncertain details before proceeding; an arbitrary time is not confirmed birth data. Some prompts in the current form are in Chinese.
What are the Four Pillars, Five Elements and Ten Gods?
The Four Pillars represent the year, month, day and hour using paired Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches. The Five Elements organize relationships within this tradition; the Ten Gods describe relationships to the Day Master. These are cultural concepts, not scientific personality scales.
Luck cycles and annual themes discuss periods within the traditional framework. A theme in a reading does not mean an event will happen, or guarantee an income, career or relationship outcome.
What does AI do, and what does the calculation do?
KnowMe calculates structured chart data first. AI then turns that context into readable text. Checking the chart inputs and evaluating the interpretation are separate tasks: AI text can still contain errors or unsuitable inferences.
Unlike a chat that begins only with a general career question, this reading uses a chart derived from birth details as context. That difference does not establish scientific validity or greater accuracy than other tools.
How can you use the text for reflection?
Read the central themes first, then consider personality, relationships and life-stage sections. Turn a sentence that resonates into an observable question, such as: 'In which recent work situations did I feel most effective?' Check concrete examples and counterexamples.
Keep your own judgment when an interpretation does not match your experience. Career, financial, health and relationship decisions require real-world evidence, communication and appropriate professional support.
Common questions
Can I use KnowMe without knowing my birth time?
The current version requires a complete birth time and does not support unknown-time readings. Choosing an arbitrary time can change the chart and is not a reading based on confirmed personal data.
Do I need an account?
The current website lets you enter details and generate a reading without registration. A report link can contain personal information, so review it before sharing.
How is BaZi different from a natal chart?
BaZi uses traditional Chinese concepts such as Four Pillars and Ten Gods. Western astrology uses planetary positions, houses and aspects. The two frameworks have different cultural origins; one does not validate the other.
Can a reading determine the right career for me?
No. A reading can offer reflection questions within a cultural framework, but career choices also depend on skills, experience, interests, job requirements and actual opportunities.
